Online Sessions

The therapeutic relationship does not depend only on physical presence. For those based outside Attica, abroad, or who prefer the convenience of sessions from their own space, we provide secure online sessions with the same high standards of confidentiality and therapeutic quality.

The same therapeutic process, a different medium

How online sessions work

Online sessions take place in real-time via a secure, encrypted video consultation platform. This is not a "light" version of psychotherapy. The process, duration, structure, confidentiality, and the relationship with your psychotherapist remain exactly the same as in-person appointments.

The psychologist-psychotherapist who works with you is a member of our core clinical team, holding the exact same training and specialization. Our centers do not employ a separate "online-only team"—ensuring that the quality of your care remains completely independent of the modality.

We offer online sessions for individual psychotherapy and counseling, as well as couples therapy. The initial introductory session can also be conducted online, free of charge.

Who it serves and why it works

Who can benefit from online sessions

Online psychotherapy is not merely a fallback solution or an alternative of necessity. For many individuals, it is a conscious first choice, as it allows therapy to take place from the comfort of their personal space, tailored to their own schedule, without the delays of commuting.

The online format is particularly suited for:
  • Individuals residing outside Attica or in regions lacking local access to psychologists and psychotherapists with the desired level of expertise, experience, or specialization.
  • Individuals living in close-knit or prominent social circles who wish to ensure the highest level of absolute privacy.
  • Greeks or Greek-speakers living abroad who are seeking therapy in their native language.
  • Expatriates (expats) living in Greece who prefer their therapy to be conducted in English.
  • Professionals with demanding schedules, frequent travel obligations, or fluid routines.
  • Individuals facing practical mobility constraints, health issues, or caregiving responsibilities.
  • Couples with limited overlapping availability, demanding routines, or those in long-distance relationships.

Many of our clients combine in-person and online sessions depending on their current needs. This hybrid model is entirely valid and often proves to be ideal.

Minimal technical requirements

What you need for an online session

A stable internet connection. A private, quiet space where you will not be overheard or interrupted. Headphones, if there is any possibility of third parties being nearby.

No special software installation is required. Prior to your session, you will receive a secure link that can be accessed via computer, tablet, or smartphone. We generally recommend a computer or tablet for a larger screen and greater connection stability, though a smartphone functions equally effectively provided the connection is secure.

Before your first online session, we will fully guide you through the setup to ensure a seamless experience without any technical obstacles.

An honest observation

Online vs in-person sessions

Online psychotherapy works exceptionally well in many contexts. Its benefits are numerous and clear: convenience, reduced travel time, and access to specialized professionals that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to reach.

It is not, however, always the ideal choice. In certain instances—particularly during the initial stages of a therapeutic relationship or when processing deep emotional weight—physical presence within the therapeutic space is preferable.

If online psychotherapy is your only viable option, it is undoubtedly the right decision, and far better than postponing your personal care. If, however, you have the capacity for physical presence, it is genuinely worth choosing an in-person setting, at least for the initial sessions.
