CV – Dimitra Mitropoulou, BSc

Psychologist – Psychotherapist

Dimitra Mitropoulou was born in Athens in the early 1990s, where she continues to live and work.

From a young age, Dimitra showed a strong interest in the humanities and a particular love for psychology. Following her passion, she chose to study at the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in Psychology. Her studies provided her with a broad range of knowledge and a deeper understanding of human nature. However, Dimitra sought even more. Beyond expressing human emotions and behaviors, she wanted to understand the mechanisms and deeper causes that drive them.

While already working, Dimitra decided to prepare and try again to earn a second degree. She successfully gained admission to and completed her studies at the Department of Psychology of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, graduating with Honors.

Though she holds a Professional Psychologist License, she continued her academic journey by pursuing a Master’s program in “Stress Science and Health Promotion” at the Medical School of NKUA.

Dimitra is a pleasant, smiling, and positive individual, characterized by a deep love and interest for her fellow human beings, as well as an innate desire to understand not only the emotions and behaviors of her clients but also the mechanisms that cause them.

As a psychologist, she follows a complex therapeutic approach that successfully combines elements from the Existential, Person-Centered, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies, in which she specializes.
